*Sibeliusisnowamulti-lingualapplication,withallsixsupported
languagesinsidethesameinstaller.Sibeliuswillautomaticallyrun
inthelanguageofyourexistingserialnumber,orinthelanguage
ofyouroperatingsystem.TochangethelanguagethatSibeliusruns
in,usethenewLanguagepageofPreferences.
*NewoptionTruncatenotesatendofbarswhenusingEdit>Repeaton
theNoteInputpageofPreferences,switchedoffbydefault.When
switchedon,thisoptionrestoresthebehaviorofEdit>Repeatfrom
Sibelius5,wherebyrepeatinganotewhennotinnoteinputmode
(i.e.nocaretisvisible)thatislongerthantheremainderofthe
bartruncatesthevalueofthenewnotetothelengthofthebar,
ratherthantyingitintothenextbar.
*Anumberofnewchordsymboltypeshavebeenaddedtothedefault
libraryofchordsymbols,including:major7chordswithsharp9ths,
sharp4thsandsharp5ths;major7/9/11/13chordswithtwo
alterations;"add11"chords;"7b5"and"7b9"chords;andmore
besides.
*NewHyphensallowedtodisappearwhensyllablesaretooclose
togetheroptionontheTextpageofHouseStyle>EngravingRules,
switchedoninbothnewscoresandexistingscores.
*Sibelius6nowcorrectlyrecognizesKontakt4asaKontakt-type
device,allowingittoloadsoundsautomatically,provideda
suitablesoundsetisavailable.
*Sibeliusnowofferstochangethestaffand/orpagesizewhenyou
addorremoveinstrumentsfromyourscore.Italsonowintelligently
determinesasuitablecombinationofpageandstaffsizewhen
importingMIDIandPhotoScore/AudioScorefiles,totryandensurea
goodverticallayoutatalltimes.
*SibeliusforMacisnowsuppliedwithOpenTypeversionsoftheOpus,
Inkpen2,RepriseandHelsinkifontfamilies.Thesefontsprovide
improvedcompatibilitywithMacOSX10.6SnowLeopard.
